Tip for online book shoppers in India: Compare prices at and before buying. I got The God Delusion from landmarkonnet for Rs. 171 (After 10% discount), which is available for as high as 325 at some other sites. Don’t remember when I last bought a book from Crossword or a bookstore.

Other book price comparison sites are and

Also whenever you buy something online always search for discount coupon codes for that site. I searched for a coupon for landmarkonnet and got 10% discount. :) RetailMeNot is the site to find coupons and Google is always there.

Books I read

I love reading. I am not just a reader but a collector too. My little library is ever expanding. When I was a kid I used to read and collect a children’s magazine called Champak, then I switched to comics – Raj Comics to be specific. Even today I posses over 1000 issues of Raj Comics. I had even started a comic book series back in school days and had written and illustrated about 30 odd comic books. Now I am mostly into reading biographies of successful entrepreneurs. So I have bought and read quite a few books off late –

Reading currently – PayPal Wars, Mein Kampf, Winning by Jack Welch, Selfish Gene by Richard Dawkins

Finished reading – The Gamechangers by Fake IPL Player

Purchased – The Difference Between God and Larry Ellison: God Doesn’t Think He’s Larry Ellison

Books in the pipeline

The Accidental Billionaires by Ben Mezrich
Business Maharajas by Gita Piramal
Forbes Greatest Business Stories of All Time by Forbes Magazine Staff, Daniel Gross
iCon Steve Jobs

Here’s my little collection of books. This pic is taken with my new Sony Ericsson K750i 2MP camera! :D This pic was taken at night with the help of the add-on Flash!

I have always liked reading. I don’t sit for lunch, dinner without something to read. Nirav Mehta of Magnet got me interested into business books with the autobiography of legendary GE CEO Jack Welch. Since then autobiographies and biographies of businessmen has become my prime interest.

My collection includes –

  • Jack straight from the gut by Jack Welch of GE
  • Loosing My Virginity by Richard Branson of Virgin group
  • Made in America by Sam Walton of Walmart
  • Direct from Dell by Michael Dell of Dell Computers
  • Who says Elephants Can’s Dance? by Louis Gerstner of IBM

  • Dare to Dream – a biography of Rai Bahadur Mohansingh Oberoi – Founder of the esteemed Oberoi group of hotels

Then some others like

  • Business at the speed of thought by Bill Gates
  • Seven Habits….oh what a boring book!!! I haven’t read it fully..such kind of books just don’t interest me.
  • The Google Story – marvelous! Fantastic book! A great look into the amazing world of Google.
  • One minute manager – good short book. Gifted to me by my ex boss Nirav Mehta.
