JustAGuy,

My mistake the second option actually is for "only one of them is correct". I have corrected that mistake now. But which of the paths is actually correct is a matter of great debate amongst the followers of various religions. I am yet to come across a believer who would say that his way is not correct. "Others *MAY* be correct but mine is definitely the most correct" is the typical response as evident from rest of the comments.

As a Christian I of course see that your question poses that you cannot determine which religion is right so there must not be a God. Looking at most of the world's religion I can honestly say that Christianity is the only religion that allows for the salvation of all people. Even after the Rapture, the message of salvation will be carried to all and all will be given the opportunity to choose. Now I believe in Jesus and the resurrection but I will not debate or debase someone because of their beliefs and the problem that I see is that many people judge religions based on the actions of the few and not those of the many. Paul wrote in Romans that we show our faith through our good works, good works won't get me into Heaven but those works may lead someone to the path of righteousness. God loves everyone no matter what their belief, He only wants for all His children to be saved yet will not bend the rules, but will give all the opportunity.

Well... In the Catholic church---undeniably one of the most socially conservative entities in the world, I know--ever since Vatican II, it's been the doctrine that "God is not bound by His sacraments." So...people who aren't Catholic or Christian or even of an Abrahamic religion can go to heaven. Like Gandhi--there's a Mass for social justice where "Gandhi, pray for us" is right in with all the other saints. And if the Vatican is willing to put a Hindu in with the saints, I think that maybe religions aren't quite as hellbent (excuse the pun) on wiping out all other varieties as you seem to think.

You said, "There are three possibilities." Actually, there are only two.
Your suggestion that "1. All are correct" doesn't work because many, not all religions claim to be the only way and their doctrinal positions deny the others. So If one of them is correct, then that would logically mean the others aren't.
Your suggestion for "2. All but one are correct" falls apart for the same reason as #1.

Leaving only two possibilities; your suggestion for "3. All of them are false," or one of them is correct.

The crucial issue in the pursuit of truth is to examine which religious system provides the best explanation for the evidence at hand. This evidence is gleaned from both the material realm and from what philosophy teaches us about epistemology and logic.

It's my conviction that once this process is thoroughly followed, Christianity (as it's Biblically based, not culturally mangled) is by far the best explanation and worldview, not just among the spiritually-based religions of the world but also among the various humanistic philosophies and atheism.
